I was lucky enough to attend BritMums Live! last Friday and Saturday. If you don’t know BritMums, they’re the UK’s largest collective of parent bloggers, and they hold a blogging and social media conference every year in London with a huge variety of sessions to learn from.
One of my favourite sessions was ‘How to successfully self-publish’ with Emma Clark Lam, the very successful self-published author of A Sister for Margot, and I wanted to share a few of the interesting points she made.
A successful self-publisher is:
a publisher and
No one else will sell your book for you.
The key to a good book is editing and polishing, editing and polishing.
Do invite candid comments and feedback, and try not to be offended!
